Welcome to our final week of February! As the magic of the Virgo full Moon begins to settle and integrate, we welcome an exciting event in our skies.
A Mercury Cazimi and a Saturn Cazimi – on the same day.
An exciting triple conjunction – which is to say, the meeting of three planets in the same spot in the cosmos while held within the sacred and loving waters of Pisces. It’s a moment of heightened intuition, wisdom, and the invitation to integrate this wisdom into grounded and practical structures that support the building of our lives.
What is a Cazimi?
The Sun in Astrology holds a sacred and central role, just as it does in our solar system. It represents our consciousness, our qi, vitality, spirit, light, and life force. It is our identity and sense of selfhood.
When the Sun comes together with a planet in our cosmos within a 1-2 degree orb (proximity of distance) it is known as a Cazimi, coming from an Arabic term meaning “in the heart of the Sun”.
Flavoured with the planet coming into contact with the Sun, a Cazimi is a point of renewal, a new beginning. With new information, wisdom, life force and vitality available to us.
Mercury Cazimi
We have been swimming within the realm of Pisces since 18 February when the Sun entered its waters. Mercury followed soon after and entered the water sign on 23 February, yet it is this week on 28 February 2024 that these two celestial bodies come together in a loving partnership, exchanging information and expanding light.
Mercury, a planet that never strays too far from the Sun, is known as our cosmic messenger. It moves between realms – consciousness, and unconsciousness – meeting with planets in the process. It gathers and shares information, insights, and wisdom from each of these spaces it visits and planets it connects with almost like neurotransmitters in our body, sending information between nerve cells for the whole to function and thrive.
This month alone Mercury has come into contact with Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus, Chiron, the destiny-filled Lunar Nodes and soon, Saturn. It has been gathering wisdom. Dispersing wisdom. Threading these seemingly separate aspects of the cosmos and of ourselves together.
As Mercury comes into the heart of the Sun this week on 28 February, it is not only an opportunity for the planet to share this wisdom gathered with the Sun acting as an opportunity for a realignment of our sense of self and our identity, but it also receives new consciousness, wisdom, and vitality from the Sun to bring into our minds, realigning our beliefs, mental patterning, narratives, and perceptions of ourselves and the world around us.
Saturn Cazimi
Saturn has been in Pisces since March 2023. Almost a year into its two-year long stay in the mystical sign, Saturn has been guiding us to build structures that support our dreams, the discipline that imbues probability into our visions, and the boundaries that only seem to sharpen our intuition, emotional health, creativity, and energetic sensing.
Saturn in Pisces has been supporting us to bring the mystical, imaginal, dreams of ours into form – into our lived experience, through the wisdom of commitment, responsibility, boundaries, and focus.
And it is this week, just like Mercury, that Saturn comes into the heart of the Sun.
28 February brings not only a Mercury Cazimi but a Saturn Cazimi too, and it is this meeting in the skies that invites consciousness and commitment towards our dreams and visions. A cazimi represents a new beginning, it is a point of renewal. It is an influx of new life force and awareness.

This week offers the wisdom that Mercury has been gathering from planet to planet to renew our identity and consciousness, and the narratives and landscape of our minds, to align them with the life that we are building and the person we are becoming.
With this renewal of self and mind it offers a life force and clarity so that we might commit to ourselves anew. With this new information we have, with this new insight, wisdom, and clarity – what do we choose? How do we choose to focus it into the building of the visions and dreams and wishes that sing our names? What are we committing to?
This week whispers the wisdom that there is perhaps nothing more divine than devoting to our visions, that there is perhaps nothing more spiritual than committing to the building of a new, aligned, beautiful life in the tangible, that there is perhaps nothing more sacred than bringing energy into form.
Pisces Season says that visions, imaginations, hopes and dreams are of the divine, are on purpose, floating from the ethers into our hearts and no one elses because they are for us, on our path, awaiting us.
28 February 2024 – a magical-feeling day, brings a renewal to our minds, our focus, our commitment, and to our identity, our intuition, and our life force – so that we may go about building the life that calls our name, knowing and trusting that perhaps, it’s a part of why we are here.
