The Seven Layers of your Aura

What is the Aura?

While we are each aware of our physical body, something that we can see and feel, these bodies and every cell within them are made up of energy or light, vibrating at a slow enough rate to ground into physical matter. However, this energy, our energy, extends far beyond our physical body.

Surrounding the body is a field made up of much finer, lighter, and higher vibrations. Many call this the aura, some call it the auric field, energy field or the energy body.

This field completely surrounds the physical body above, below, and on all sides. It is our energetic anatomy made up of many different layers, which are often called the subtle bodies. These layers carry unique information and intentions depending on their frequency, which is perceived physically as a colour. When healthy, shaped like an oval (elliptical) around the body, it can expand and contract based on our energetic, mental, emotional and physical health, or even how comfortable we are within our immediate surroundings. Expanding often 2 metres or 6 feet around the body, sometimes expanding up to 20 metres, or 66 feet around the body.

The human being is a holographic existence based on many dimensional levels, and 33 levels have been discovered so far, perhaps one day we will discover the Auric field to be infinite.

In this article we will be exploring the first 7 levels of the auric field, as they are connected to our 7 foundational Chakras.

Layers of the Aura

Each of us are born with specific frequencies/vibrations or colour, which I call essences. This doesn’t change as it is like a finger print or code that makes us who we are. We can have more than one colour in our aura, and these colours can change with time depending on our level of awareness and perception. Imagine a single ray of light being divided into many different rays of colours of the rainbow when it hits a glass prism. Originally, we are that initial ray of white light that contains all the frequencies/vibrations or colours that is perfection or source. Our journey here is to re-discover the white light (our true selves) through the experience of finding awareness and enlightenment as we embody and become the rainbow.

Every level the Aura, relating to each chakra, is known to be a plane or level of perception and awareness. Moving through these levels of awareness is not a linear process, and can change depending on the our life experiences. There could be times when we will be operating at a higher level or lower level in our Auric field.

Starting from the centre, our physical body is the densest and the core of our entire dimensional existence that has infinite potential.

The first three subtle bodies that we are aware of either by seeing or sensing that are closest to the physical body are the Etheric Body, the Emotional Body and the Mental Body.

Each of these subtle layers works with a specific Chakra which is connected to the original template and to a DNA strand. 

Moving beyond the first three subtle bodies, of layers of the aura, we have the Astral Body, the Karmic Body, the Angelic or Buddhic body.

And the 7th final auric layer we will look at today is the Ketheric Body.

These layers can often be referred by different names, however hold the same meaning across many different spiritual paths.

 

 

First Set of the Auric Layers:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd dimensions. Representing the physical body, emotions and thought forms that we are aware of.

 

1st Layer of the Aura: The Etheric Body

The 1st subtle body is known as the etheric body, and this is where the Chakras and Meridians are perceived. It is the closest to our physical body, representing the physical body, muscles, tissues, bones, etc. This is often the layer of the aura that most can see.

Connected to the Root Chakra, the colour of this layer can vary between light salmon to deep red in colour. This colour is associated with passion and sexual desires and drive.

A red aura is connected to the root chakra so it means you a grounded and balanced with a zest for life. Feeling safe and secure and life is to enjoy and have fun. The darker this colour the more it can show us that we are holding into anger and frustration.

 

2nd Layer of the Aura: The Emotional Body 

The 2nd subtle body is known as the emotional body and is orange in colour. Representing our emotions and feelings it is connected to the Sacral Chakra.

This orange colour can represent our creativity, fertility, sensuality, youthfulness, happiness and joyful exchange with loved ones and the environment. Orange is the colour of the Sacral Chakra, which is where we tend to hold our negative or positive emotions that are influenced by the relationships we have with others. Unresolved and repressed emotions can crystallise here and form a pattern.

 

 

3rd Layer of the Aura: The Mental Body 

The 3rd subtle body is known as the mental body it is yellow in colour. Representing thought forms, cognitive processes, beliefs, mental patterns and state of mind, it is connected to the Solar Plexus Chakra.

Yellow is the colour of the solar plexus chakra, our intellect, self-esteem and personal power lies here.

A yellow aura signifies the inner happiness and balance that one has within. Yellow can also indicate a playful spirit, high self-esteem, a spiritual awakening, learning new knowledge, high intellect, or a desire for greatness.

 

 

Second Set of the Auric Layers:

4th, 5th, and 6th dimensions. Representing the unconscious, subconscious, collective, genetic, ancestral and karmic level.

 

4th Layer of the Aura: The Astral Body 

The 4th subtle body is known as the astral body it is green in colour. The Astral body is where data, or memories, of all the images we have experienced, explored, imagined or dreamed of reside. This includes out of body and dreamtime experiences. It is influenced by the unprocessed information that have been collected everyday through our senses and emotions.

Connected to the Heart Chakra, it is green in colour representing love and compassion. When green is present in one’s aura, it means they have a kind, loving heart. A loving kindness towards animals, plants, friends, family, and life in general.

 

5th Layer of the Aura: The Karmic Body 

The 5th subtle body is known as the karmic body, and it is the first level of our Soul body.

Light blue or sky blue in the colour of communication, it connected to the throat chakra. The karmic body is where the data or information of all our karmic imprints are stored. This is also the level where our soul’s missions and contracts are.

A blue aura reveals someone who is calm, expressive and has the ability to express their truth. The lighter the blue the more peaceful and positive the energy is as karma is resolved.

 

 

6th Layer of the Aura: The Angelic or Buddhic Body 

The 6th subtle body is known as the Angelic or Buddhic body and is indigo in colour.

This is where our soul family/star-seed connections or higher contracts are. This Auric layer is where we imprint our past or current spiritual initiations.

An indigo aura indicates someone who is in tune with their higher-self, intuition and inner knowing. Indigo is the colour of the third eye chakra it indicates the individual has the ability to visualise, imagine and is on a spiritual quest for truths of the unknown.

 

The Higher Subtle Bodies:

7th dimension and above, representing the higher galactic and pre-human level.

 

7th Layer of the Aura: The Ketheric Body 

The 7th subtle body is known as the ketheric body. Violet in colour, it is connected to the Crown Chakra. At this level and above we do not directly experience the patterns or imprints of trauma and fear connected to previous galactic or other dimensional incarnations.

Violet is associated with the crown chakra colour, and those who have purple in their aura are intuitive, feel oneness with all and have view of the larger picture. People with this aura have a direct connection to source and the ability to channel or receive revelations. They love to guide others to their highest potential and are often artistically expressive.
