Looking to the outer planets and how they are interacting with our own energy provides a foundation to the greater chapters that we are moving through individually.
Connecting with these transits, with these planets, and with their invitations, can provide an immense sense of peace and clarity. As if they provide a roadmap, a compass, or a light to follow. A framework and language to hold and make sense of your path. And the direction that these transits invite you into will always be what is most aligned with your Soul, with your fulfilment, and with your truth.
Astrology can allow ourselves to know ourselves intimately, to master our lives, to find our purpose, satisfaction and meaning. And the best way we can do that is to understand and work with the influence of these outer planets.
Connecting with the Outer Planets
There are movements within our cosmos weekly, with the Moon moving every ~2 days, Mercury every ~14 days and the Sun and Venus every ~30, for example. If it can feel overwhelming keeping track of these quicker movements, focusing on the outer planets, which are much slower in their movements, can help us to understand the current chapter of our lives in a more foundational way.
The outer planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto – which are labelled as outer planets as they orbit outside of the asteroid belt, as opposed to Mercury, Venus, and Mars which lie between the Sun and the asteroid belt (see image below from earthhow.com).
These outer planets represent bigger themes in our lives. If you’re feeling lost, or as if you are moving through great transition, it’s of deep importance to look at Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
