New Moon in Pisces Astrology

Just last month we entered a new chapter of healing, evolution, and purpose both individually and collectively. The North Node entered Pisces where it will remain for the next 18 months inviting compassion, surrender, creativity and imagination. 

We are each being invited to step into the sign of Pisces as a healing balm for our souls. To swim within its waters and welcome it to make a home within us. For these next 18 months; Pisces is our medicine, Pisces is our direction, and Pisces is the key to our growth. And this New Moon acts as a doorway deeper into this medicine, direction, and growth. 

Ruling our emotions, as the Moon journeys through Pisces these emotions become sensitised. Instead of focusing on the tangible environment around us this lunation invites us to attune to the intangible. To feel, imagine, intuit. To lean into the imaginal realms of possibility, the deep knowing within our emotions, and soft whispers of intuition.

It is a lunation that invites mutability – the kind of fluidity that allows us to both release and begin, to shift and to open, and to move as freely as water untethered by its past. It invites a deeper trust in where we are being guided to flow – surrendering to the motion and opening ourselves to the unfolding dance.

For this is a sign that reminds us that we cannot know the whole story – that we don’t need to know the whole story before taking a step. Life unfolds as we live it, with something unknown yet always present guiding us in each moment.

Even as we begin again, this is a lunation of surrender. And it is the inspiration found through that surrender. The creativity offered to us in moments of trust. The intuition that arrives in moments of silence. And the guidance made known when we empty our hands and open to something beyond us, within us, speaking in each moment.

It invites us to create space between who we believe ourselves to be, what we believe life to be, what we believe possible and impossible, realistic and unrealistic – and in that space – allow life to show us a new way.

For this new Moon inspires imagination and possibility, playing with frequency and remembering magic. And it reminds us that this world of magic isn’t and shouldn’t be placed aside to fantasy. 

Rather, it is the energy we create worlds with. It is the space where dreams are born and visions meet us to be weaved into tangible form.

Pisces New Moon Spiritual Meaning

It is a lunation that comes with a message: Don’t lose your imagination.

Instead, turn it up. Dance with the stars. Play with your creative visions. See where they take you. Open celestial doors and peer into possibility. Surrender your ideas, thinking, and perceiving – so that life may show you so much more existing just beyond the veil. 

It is a lunation that invites us to feel the Sacredness both within and around us; the Divinity permeating all of life. 

The same Sacredness and Divinity that is holding and guiding us in each moment. And it is a new Moon offering healing if we so surrender to it, so that we may repair our relationship with trust, hope, and the belief in magic for and as us.

Welcoming Eclipse Season

Eclipses are an alignment of the Sun, Moon, Lunar Nodes, and the Earth.

While we are familiar with the dance of the Sun and Moon that brings us a New and Full Moon every 28 days, Eclipses occur when the Moon reaches its upper and lower thresholds of its tilted elliptical orbit – these boundaries that represent the Lunar Nodes. When the Moon reaches these thresholds and comes into partnership with the Lunar Nodes, it also forms a perfect alignment with the Sun and Earth. It is here that the new Moon becomes a Solar Eclipse, and the full Moon a Lunar Eclipse.

This New Moon opens our first Eclipse Season of 2025, with a Virgo Full Moon Lunar Eclipse and Aries New Moon Solar Eclipse meeting us in March of this year.

The interaction with the Lunar Nodes are what makes Eclipses so special. The Lunar Nodes in Astrology, made up of the North Node and the South Node, represent destiny, purpose, and evolution. As the Sun – representing our spirit, inspiration, and life force – come into alignment with the Moon – our intuitive nature, inner truths, needs, and emotions – and the Earth – the land upon which we bring our destiny into reality – this sense of purpose that the Lunar Nodes hold within them seems to have a gateway to travel through, a portal through which they can be heard, through which our call of destiny, alignment, or evolution can reach us.

There is an undeniable force of energy etched into the very fabric of this season. Eclipses are the divinity within transformation and the light that pours through the cracks of change. Siting at the core of this season is a strength, a presence, a purposefulness, an alignment, and a transformation that seems to only bring us closer to who we are, and closer to life itself – whether that direction is felt in the moment or reveals itself further along the path.

And if we know anything about transformation, it is that we cannot control it. We cannot orchestrate it, just as we cannot journey through it only with the mind. It is within transformation that we are often led to our edges where the only option from there is to unclench our hands, breathe out, allow, trust – in ourselves and life – and to open to what is coming in.
