Astrology of the Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse

Welcome to our second Eclipse of the Season, a sacred and potent New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo.

An Eclipse desiring to cleanse and clarify, ultimately preparing us to become the most aligned, truthful, and authentic expression of our light. Ultimately clearing what is no longer truth, or perhaps was never truth, so that we may bring more of our own vaster energy into our vessel of living.

We are held deep within the tides of change under this lunation. It is a portal bridging worlds – what was with what will be. It is an invitation into a new way of being – one rooted in truth, divinity, service, beauty and wholeness. Where we remember ourselves as One with the All and simultaneously remember the medicine in claiming our individual expression of this All. 

Where the wounds of separation are held in the field of love and transmuted into sacred remembering. Where human is divine, where body is holy, where rooting into individual embodiment isn’t separation from the sacred it is expression and living of the sacred. 

Solar Eclipses are entrance points into a new chapter of destiny. They usher in fated events and karmic shifts that reorient our path, often with a speed and intensity that feels larger than life.

They expand our awareness, open doors that were once unseen, and invite us into new beginnings that alter the course of our becoming. Eclipses accelerate us along our timeline, offering quantum leaps in growth, awareness, and embodiment.

Meeting us at 29 degrees of Virgo – the final, culminating degree of the sign. In astrology, 29 degrees is often called the anaretic degree, a threshold of great potency and accelerated soul growth. It is a point of completion and a point of mastery, where we are invited to embody the highest lessons of a sign before crossing into the next. Whatever this new lunar cycle has in store, it carries the weight of immense growth.

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo Spiritual Meaning

Sitting next to the South Node in Virgo and opposite Saturn Retrograde in Pisces, we are clearing deep wounds that have cycled through humanity for thousands of years, passed through generation after generation under this Eclipse. 

Wounds that have held us in the belief that we, as human, are innately less than. Wounds that have held us in fearful patterns of control, fear, hypervigilance, over-management, over-perfectionism, hyper-criticism, or the belief that we must earn our worth through endless service – all stemming from the original wound of separation.

For if we remembered the Divine lives through us, we wouldn’t believe we had to earn the right to exist.

If we remembered that love is the fabric of all things, we wouldn’t hold so tightly to fear.

If we remembered that life itself is an intelligent rhythm that we are not separate from, we wouldn’t grip so desperately at control.

Our entire journey of the North Node in Pisces and South Node in Virgo, beginning January of this year and encapsulated within this very moment, this very lunation, reminds us that this separation was never real. 

The truth of the Virgo/Pisces axis reminds us that our human experience is an abundant overflowing of divinity expressing itself as us. The divine does not sit somewhere far from us. It pulses through every cell, every breath, every gesture of care, every daily ritual, every moment of devotion.
