Lions Gate Portal 8/8 August ☀️

This mystical day is a combination of astrological alignments, numerology, and the whispers of wisdom, myths, and practices passed down through generations from ancient cultures.

The Lions Gate Portal is a combination of the Sun being in its home sign of Leo and the star Sirius rising to come into alignment with the Earth. Along with this cosmic alignment, the ancient practice and wisdom of numerology is present with the peak of this energy meeting us on 8/8 of each year.

Sirius

In astrology, the influence of fixed stars like Sirius are a very precise and focused, like a laser beam of light, their presence is felt in an obvious and sharp way. While our Sun is known to illuminate our physical reality, Sirius, which is often referred to as our ‘Spiritual Sun’ holds the intention of illuminating our Soul, our Spirit, our timeless and boundless selves.

Associated with abundance, fertility, and a giver of life by ancient cultures, it is said that Sirius was a foundation of Ancient Egyptian culture, among others, with its rising corresponding with the annual flooding of the Nile enriching their soil, and therefore food source.

The essence of this bright star represents our higher ambitions, higher realms of possibility, creation, and aspirations. It brings in a perspective that reminds us of possibilities beyond belief, of creation outside of perceived boundaries, and the timeless space where life-giving miracles are born, just as the flooding of the Nile was seen to be. It’s a star that asks us to widen our perspectives outside what we believe is possible, to play in the energetic realms that are boundless in nature, and to witness ourselves once again as a spark of the Divine.

 

Leo Sun

The Sun in Leo brings a certain magnetism by radiating self-confidence, belief, and a zest for life in addition to the rising of Sirius. Within astrology, Leo is ruled by the Sun showing us that their energy, intention, way of being and influence on each of us is similar, and when they team up in the skies during Leo Season, the power of both energies become amplified.

With each number holding its unique energy, intention, vibration, and overall flavour, 8 within numerology is a powerful number representing the marriage of spirit and matter. It is the creation gateway acting as a bridge between the energetic and the physical, the unseen and the seen.

If we turn the 8 on its side, we are shown the infinity symbol representing the free flow of energy in giving and receiving, reminding us that all that we give into the world will return to us. If we were to look at the number 8 as if it had a mirror placed in the centre of it, this can act as a visual to speak to the concept of creating our realities through who we ‘be’. It asks us to remember the power we hold in our choice, and the natural magnetism that radiates from our being. And it asks us to turn up the volume of who we are.’
