Justice Tarot Card Meaning

The Justice card is represented by a crowned figure, wearing a red gown with a green stole. There are tiny squares, one at the center of her crown and the other clasping her stole/robes together. These squares emphasize that her foundations, both in thought and heart, must be based in clarity in order to effectively represent Justice.

She sits at a stone pillared bench, her white shoe just barely exposed from beneath the long robe, indicating her connection to spirit and faith in her position. She holds a scale in her left hand, symbolizing the harmony and balance necessary, in order for logic and intuition to properly align. In her right hand she wields a double-edged sword, representing truth, indifference and her responsibility to uphold, direct and command accordingly, when Justice is being served.

Justice Upright

Often, a higher form of karmic, spiritual law is at hand when the Justice card appears on your path. If you have especially been dealing with difficult people and/or circumstances, Justice is here to remind you that your current situation is something that is being (and/or will be) dealt with on a higher, divine level.

Justice may also appear as a message of encouragement in your tarot reading. Let this serve to remind you that the things beyond your control and/or abilities will work out on your behalf, so long as you are standing in alignment with what is true and just. 

More than anything, Justice stands firmly as a symbol of truth. Make sure that you are being fair and honest with yourself as well as anyone else involved. The circumstance(s) that you are addressing may require you to gather the necessary information, facts, etc before making any kind of sudden decision(s). That being said, be clear that you are taking a truthful, honest and accurate approach. With Justice appearing reversed, be aware that you should probably take a step back before making any serious decisions. If you have already made moves, let this serve as a suggestion that now may be the perfect time for you to consider reevaluating your steps.

Think about whether or not you have covered all of your bases and/or gathered all of the necessary information and facts. Are you certain that you have been and/or are being fair and honest in your dealings? On the other hand, are you sure that others are being fair and honest with you? If you happen to be in a situation where the circumstances simply do not seem fair, you are urged to remain as balanced, clear and grounded as possible. Do your best not to give in to any unfair treatment, no matter how 

More importantly, be clear as to whether or not you are being honest with yourself, first and foremost, of course. You could be encountering a situation that is asking you to dig into things that you may not want to face. Is there anything that you have been avoiding?

If the reversed Justice card is showing up, it is telling you that you can no longer avoid or deny the truth of the matter, whatever that may be.
