It’s a full Moon asking that we honour our emotional knowing, our deepest needs, and the sacredness of our own energy. It is a full Moon asking that we create space to feel, listen, and receive the wisdom travelling through our emotional body, through our feeling nature. It is a full Moon asking that we create a channel to express all that has gone unfelt or kept beneath the surface. And it is a full Moon asking that we become the healing, medicine, love, presence, and nurturing that we are craving – for ourselves, and with ourselves.

Cancer is ruled by the Moon, and the way it mirrors the ever-changing emotional landscape within us all. It’s a space of feeling. Of stripping away the noise so that we may hear the quiet whispers of our own knowing. Of replenishing our ever-moving seas within, swimming in their depth, and receiving their healing. 

As the Sun in Capricorn guides our planning, visioning, and practical building of this new year ahead, the Moon in Cancer takes us deeper into our fundamental needs and emotional desires so that they may inform our forward movement. It reminds us that the building of our lives must be guided by both the inner and outer, our heart and our mind, our intuition and logic.

Our first lunation of the year, arriving with honest and intimate insights and direction coming from deep within our bodies and emotions. We know what we need. We know what is for us. We know what is not for us. And we know when we are living in alignment with these knowings. 

This full Moon is illuminating all of this. It is bringing it into our awareness so that we can open, move, create, and dance in this year ahead in a way that is true to who we are, and who we are here to be.
