March 20 brings a realignment of the cosmos – it’s the start of a new astrological year!
We may have just entered 2020 with the traditional New Year on January 1, however the calendar year doesn’t always line up energetically. January is, after all, the month of hardworking Capricorn, which doesn’t always speak to new beginnings as such.
Astrologically, we move into a new cycle when we reach the first sign of the Zodiac, Aries! We have moved through the energies of all 12 zodiacs and are now starting fresh at number 1.
We also celebrate the March Equinox – the Spring Equinox for those in the Northern Hemisphere, and Autumn Equinox for those in the Southern. The word ‘Equinox’ translates to ‘equal night’ and that’s exactly what this event is – where the length of daylight hours is equal to length of time without sunlight.

A wave of new energy is being washed over us, from the cosmos but also from within, from our hearts. With your hand on your heart, can you feel this new beginning? This energy will only be emphasized even more, when we reach the New Moon in Aries on April 24, which will be incredibly a powerfully igniting time for our Souls.
As well as this being a great and aligned time for new beginnings, we are also being asked to embody the energy of our first zodiac – Aries. We are being asked to step up, step forward, into positions of leadership, power and authority. We all have this energy within us, and we are being asked to call it forward in a bold and independent way. This inner transformation symbolizes an important phase of self-realization, but also a deeper spiritual meaning, the March equinox reveals the secrets of immaterial restoration.
A FLOW OF FRESH OPPORTUNITIES
We are given the opportunity here to see things in a new way, including our infinite potential and the infinite possibilities of our future. It’s a beautiful time to reevaluate our goals and feel into what we really want for our futures.
Fresh ideas are flowing through the cosmos and through our very being. Sit down with this energy, let it flow through you and see all that your bright bright future has in store for you. Let it flow through you and into your diary, your vision board, your art. Let this energy flow through you so that you can begin creating the life of your dreams.
COSMIC HAPPENINGS
The sky will be busy with energies all waiting for their turn to move through us. On March 20th Mars will be in conjunction with Jupiter in Capricorn to remind us of the simple joy of being alive. It’s about enthusiasm and a willingness to act. We are combining action (Mars), happiness, and expansion (Jupiter) and this combination could not be any more beautiful. This combination could not be any more supportive of our success.
Two days later we have Saturn entering Aquarius, for the first time in nearly three decades! This is a period of major change both individually and collectively, and the beginning of new chapters in life. Aquarius rules collective action, progress and technology while Saturn is our planet of authority, hard work, discipline and perseverance. Can you see how beneficial this is for the collective, can you see the Universe bringing us exactly what we need? Anything that has been weighing us down collectively we will be able to see in a new innovative way, and work through to resolve. We could be looking at new technological systems to address global concerns and a push to collectively connect as a global community rather than the separateness we have been living with for so long.
