In astrology, the zodiac is made up of twelve individual signs, with each sign representing a certain archetype, way of living, being, perceiving, doing, and expressing. Each sign holds a unique frequency and their own invitations, created to ultimately lead us home to more of ourselves.
We can feel the shift in these frequencies and invitations as the Sun journeys through each sign in our cosmos for a month (creating an astrological season) – shaping our perception, the way we relate to the world around us, and our focus and interests for those 30 ~ days.
February 18, 2023, brings one of these shifts as the Sun moves from Aquarius and into Pisces where it will remain until March 20, 2023.
Pisces Season: 18 February – 20 March 2023
Within us all exists each of these 12 zodiac signs, and it is during this time that the Pisces within us comes to surface to permeate our beings, shaping our reality and sense of self.
Pisces, a water sign relating to the etheric, spiritual, and mystical realms, is the dreamer and the intuitive. It is the drop in the ocean that cannot be separated from the entire ocean, the spark of energy surrendered and held by the vibrational current of existence. It is also the last of the 12 zodiac signs, representing the final journey of this astrological year before a new cycle begins as the Sun moves into Aries – the first of the zodiac.
This etheric zodiac sign has a way of blurring the boundaries between self and all that is. Where the Sun in astrology represents our sense of self, identity, and individuality, as it comes into the realms of water, that structured identity is invited to soften, to break down, and to ultimately cease to exist – all so that when the time comes, it can be reborn and created anew.
This Season touches into the waters from which many mystical, religious, and transcendent movements were born. An emptying of a Self to merge with a creator, and the divine paradox of surrendering that Self only to find its truth is boundless, formless, and one with all that is. It is simultaneously letting go of any defined Self and realising Self is All.

Pisces Season is an invitation to dissolve any and all barriers that stand between you and Life.
It is an invitation to open the heart, allow in love, beauty, art, sound, healing, energy, prayer, forgiveness, and receptivity. Here we begin a month-long journey into the re-sensitizing of ourselves after much of the world has taught us to desensitize. It is a lens through which we are invited to look through and remember that to be fully alive, one must be open.
As the last season of the astrological year, it is a time that represents closure. It is the liminal space in time bridging the past and future – a moment for us to reflect, complete, heal, forgive, and release the journey we have been on since April, 2022.
As this new Season begins, we are invited to rest. To go inward and contemplate. And to return to our intuitive guidance that knows the most nourishing path of preparation for the new astrological year next month.
~ Sound, music, soft movement, and prayer.
~ Artistic expression and compassionate relating.
~ Forgiveness, releasing, and anything that brings you closer to the divine.
~ Intuitive knowing and mystical remembering.
These are our companions throughout this time, and this is where great healing can occur.
Available throughout this season is to touch into the true nature of the self that goes beyond the physical, the tangible, the logical and the known.
Rather to reach into the unknown that exists beyond time and space so that when we are invited to be reborn in Aries Season, we are here, resting, renewed, and existing in the emptiness of All-that-is from which all form sprouts.
