The movement of the planets, stars and cosmos cannot be separated from the worlds that live within us.
Within each of us each planet exists as an archetype, as invitations, as a colour, shade, tone, and way of being.
Their movements shift something within us, whether subtle or overt, soft, or loud. And as they take a moment in our skies to pause, breathe out, and begin their seemingly backwards retrograde motion, we too, are invited to pause, breathe out, and begin our commute within.

Neptune Retrograde Dates
30 June, 2023 – December 6, 2023
Neptune Meaning in Astrology
Neptune is an outer planet sitting on the edge of what we know and are yet to discover. Ruling over the undefinable, it is a planet that takes us into the unseen, into the dreamy realms of imagination and energy. Neptune is abstract, subtle, compassionate, and intuitive. It is the blurring of boundaries between the Self and All-that-is.
Neptune is the flow we experience within creative expression. The loss of self, identity, and bearings through song. It is the oneness experienced in meditation and the way one yoga pose somehow merges into the next, unclear of where one started and the other ended.
Neptune Retrograde in Pisces
While in retrograde from 30 June to December 6, the fog that Neptune brings through its blurring of boundaries gets lifted.
Over these next five months, we are given clarity of sight to review the path we have been walking, the relationship we have been building with ourselves, our creativity, our purpose, and perception of spirit and truth.
As Neptune’s forward dream state retraces its step there is a lifting of the veil, a greater clarity of reality in plain sight. Where what we once couldn’t see now comes into sight. Where what we perceived as truth reveals itself as something else.

This retrograde initiates slower movement, reflection and healing, clarity, and emotion. With both the Sun and Mercury in Cancer as Neptune Retrograde begins, there is a revealing aspect to this week, an illuminating, unearthing, uncloaking realisation of truth and reality.
Neptune represents the realm of existence where all is one, while in retrograde however, it invites us into a full presence of the human experience, where there is a healthy and empowering separation and sense of ‘I’.
It’s a time to lean into clarity, develop our sense of individual identity, and reflect on truth, spiritual beliefs, and loving discernment. Neptune Retrograde initiates deep inner shifts, while Cancer acts as the nurturing and loving safety to hold us throughout.
